From Bondage to Freedom is a non-profit Prison Ministry/Organization established in 1992 by Daryl and Denise Joiner with a purpose of promoting the cause of the Christian Gospel by making disciples of Christ Jesus.
Daryl and Denise Joiner became trained volunteers for the TDCJ in 1995 and shortly thereafter settled specifically in the chaplaincy department at the local county jail. The Joiners volunteered with Prison Fellowship and facilitated a weekly bible study at FMC Carswell... a federal prison for women in Forth Worth Texas. The Joiners served at this unit for 14 years, and during their 14 years of service a chapel was built at the unit and a monthly worship service was added to the bible study. From Bondage to Freedom Prison Ministry and the Joiners currently serve in prison and jails all over the North Texas area.
With the support of volunteers, local ministries, churches and community organizations, From Bondage to Freedom Prison Ministry have partnered with Prison Fellowship Angel Tree, and have sponsored over 400 children of incarcerated parents.
Daryl and Denise Joiner have been married for 31 years, and have 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren. Daryl and Denise are both license Ministers for the Gospel Ministry.
From Bondage to Freedom Ministry/ Organization is governed by Board members and Advisors.
